Re: Praities and Joseph Locke (Joe McLaughlin 'the singing policeman') Joseph Locke was a huge favourite in our family ... my father sang "Goodbye" & "Hear My Song" .... they were his party pieces. My first trip back home in 1959 after 6 years in Canada I had to bring back one of his records.... At that time, he was persona non grata in the U.K., and my uncle took me to Smithfield Market in Belfast to find it!! He was well loved by a lot of us. Especially in Fermanagh!! Bought the movie and Dad enjoyed it many times ... Adrian Dunbar did a great job! ...according to my father :) .. Thank you for this, it brings back soooo many beautiful memories. During Dad's last days in hospital, he'd say to me ... "Do you mind this one?" .... then start singing ....."Have ye ever been in love me boys....".... In the Garden when The Praities Grow"... a beautiful memory....
