Much appreciated Clive, another mystery solved!! :-) Now would you have any thoughts on the double names for..... Forthill / Spratshill & Ballindoughlough or Ballindullagh / Derrygannan? Both of these names were listed in the TA for Derryvullan. Neither Spratshill or Derrygannan are marked on the Forthill or Ballindullagh GV maps. I have Meldrum family connections listed in the 1821 census for Derrygannan, when all other records show them living in Ballindullagh Inward! Forthill/Spratshill is just a query!!!! Did a Sprat family ever live in Forthill?....Joseph Spratt lived in Irvinestown in 1818! and YES a Spratt family did live in Forthill, but not recorded until the GV in 1862. Thanks, Carole E. > >
