Kathy, do you have a tree on Ancestry or FamilySearch? As others have mentioned they can be problematic and overwhelming as there is SO much info out there, a lot of it wrong. I just found a ggggm of dh's who, according to one Ancestry tree, was born the year after she was married (!) Still they are great resources and the group here will be happy to help and advise. When I was starting on my tree, I found it helpful to print a schema of all the people I DID know about and then take them one by one, making notes in a separate file of every lead I had already followed and copies of emails I had found helpful.
