    3. A lovely blonde eh DH?? Hmmm I am sorry but I will not weep into my Diet Coke for you. I wonder--do you think the McGovern family took their name from that area or vice versa? Val, who just transcribed a load of McGovern headstones--but they were in Sligo > > On Thu, May 14, 2015 at 10:24 AM, Dave H via <fermanagh-gold@rootsweb.com> > wrote: > >> Oh things have really gone bad!! >> >> I had to spend over half an hour in Ballinamore talking to a lovely >> blonde girl about Ballymagauran and all because of people on FG!!! >> >> >> Most definitely it is pronounced Ballymagovern regardless of how the >> spelling goes... 3. Good to know there are 2 Patrick's so... Personally I believe it to be wrong Patrick as the one I posted was of Patk, of Drumliff, age 89 so yours can't be his father? Mine specifically names correct townland and John http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/reels/cwa/005014922/005014922_00031.pdf PLUS http://www.willcalendars.nationalarchives.ie/search/cwa/details.jsp?id=1700512058 gives his Date of Death. Personally I'd only be 100% confident he's yours as I like to leave a margin for error. With everyone now knowing there are two helps as no one will accept a marriage etc the correct one!! Nothing wrong with that at all!!
