This means Mary Cowan Adams was his aunt???? Mary (Cowan) Adams (?his aunt?) was b.1815.... Mary Ann (Cowan) Elliott, Robert Elliott's mother was born c.1793. For Mary Adams to have been his aunt, she would have been Mary Ann Elliott's sister???? If someone has more information about this possible family connection, I would appreciate hearing from you.
