You may have googled them for Ireland but how many of them are in Ireland? You will of course find castellated/fortified houses in Ireland but they are not Peel towers and have their own unique history. Peel towers were built across English/Scottish borders within sight of each other where fires could be lit to warn each other... certainly not the case in Ireland.
