Did these ex-pats have to have worked for so many years in Ireland prior to immigration before being a Pension recipient, or were there any other circumstances considered? If they applied when age 70 then the Census Search would be done using 1841 Census details, these Census were later destroyed! Because mine weren't in Ireland for 41 or 51 Census I got the 1821 Census for one lot! The ones for NI are SUPPOSED to be in PRONI BUT that is not the case!! 1000's are still in Dublin and on line on same site as Census.
