Hi, Marge, I subscribed to FindMyPast because of their extensive newspaper coverage. I had a trial subscription, but I found so many of my family in the Liverpool area that I could not give it up. I even found a coroner's report giving cause of death of my great great grandfather, precious information. ALL of my ancestors came from Ireland (at least for the last several several hundred years) so the fact that FMP concentrates on the Irish in Ireland and where they went: UK, US and Canada, and Australia and New Zealand really hit home. They are focusing on WHAT I NEED - not the whole world!!! The fact that they are based in Dublin also makes me feel like I am contributing to the Irish economy. I may not renew my Ancestry when it comes due in couple of months. I certainly will NOT renew the world version. For less than the cost of an Ancestry US subscription, I got the World on FMP!
