Personally I appreciated the information. I've never liked Ancestry and FindMyPast sounds more suited to my needs. Cliff. Cliff, Exactly! I like Ancestry less and less. I probably will NOT renew my Ancestry sub. when it expires in May. Have you see their ads on (US) television? I want to scream. I have a friend who refers to Ancestry as a necessary evil. But she is not of 100% Irish roots like I am. So FMP is much better suited to my needs. In the past I have not found anything when FMP had free trials. I am thinking that I was just using a particular set of records but with these church records, it is a Godsend! Then there were other results that I could see were there but not included for free. Over the weekend I found ALL of the Stackpoles (and variations) in the Dublin records and transcribed them all into my database. If I had to go through every parish (like I was doing in Kildare) I would still be working on them when hell freezes. Many of the Dublin records cover from c. 1750 to past 1900. So I can even find more recent cousins.
