Today our FFHG are having a Show and Tell celebration of our research in connection with an article relating to our family history. I am taking a watch and lanyard chain which was presented to my Gt Aunt Isa Clarke on her retirement in May 1914. In just over a month that watch will be 102 years old and is still working. After Isa's death my Grandmother Clarke wore it daily and on many occasions I was allowed to wind it for her. It was only given 7 winds each night. When I took it from my "Treasure Chest last night, the memories came flooding back. I could see my Grandmother smiling at me. So I wound the watch 7 times and set it to time and it is still going this morning. What a great treasure to have! Viola Sent from my iPad
