    3. Olivetreegenealogy.com is the place to look for early ships to Canada. Later crossings may be on ancestry and familysearch. Familysearch has a Wiki explaining what they have for ships to Canada. https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Canada_Emigration_and_Immigration Also, look at theshipslist.com. My local genealogy club transcribes for them. Shirley ---------- Original Message ---------- From: Jan Clizer <jaclizer@gmail.com> To: FERMANAGH-GOLD@rootsweb.com Subject: FERMANAGH-GOLDRoll Call...... IRWIN, STOCKMAN (or WATKINS or Keenan) Date: Tue, 10 Apr 2018 21:49:17 -0700 FERMANAGH-GOLD@rootsweb.com My John Irwin Sr. & Jr. and families are said to have come from Fermanagh in 1831 to Canada, and previously from Scotland to Ulster right around 1800. They stayed in Montreal 3 years, one employed as a tailor, then moved to Ontario, lived in several places over 30 years, then John Irwin & Mary McEwen Irwin moved to Honesdale, PA (my g-grandparents). They were listed as Church of England. I have hired a small amount of research done in Ontario...Belmore was founded by Irwin brothers Francis, John & William, and Francis was a prominent, permanent citizen. Belmore is also found in Fermanagh, so I have an unsubstantiated hunch they came from that area. So far, I have not located records for the ship they came across on, and have found nothing concrete to connect the family with any of the numerous John Irwins listed in Fermanagh or counties outwith. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE ENTERTAINING, INFORMATIVE POSTINGS IN THIS GROUP!!! --
