Do the administrators know why each Ferm-Gold digest only contains 4 messages - whereas they used to contain MANY more? I'm glad for the increased activity on the list but now I get many short digests in my Inbox every day. The purpose of the digest was to minimize the number of individual messages we receive. This is happening with the other Rootsweb mailing lists I'm on and I'm inundated. Since the number of messages in each digest is consistent, I wonder if there's a place where this number was specified as the upper limit. Linda
It is because people forget to trim the excess messages, thereby making each message in the digest longer and exceeding the maximum length for each digest. The footers get longer and longer and longer.
