If they married in Canada have you their Marriage Certificate? which might give their Fathers given names and occupations. If we have dates we just might find them on Ship's Lists or entering Canada. If we have birth dates we may be lucky that someone has transcribed their Baptismal records which may give their parents and Townland, Church and Parish. Sounds like it could be a mixed marriage because Gallagher is usually Roman Catholic and Johnston/Johnson I'd associate as being Protestant (Methodist, Presbyterian or Church of Ireland). Thank you so much for your thoughts. My husband, son and I were in Enniskillan in 2013 and felt a kinship. It is rumored that Peter Gallagher was baptized at Mass Rock, Tummery Dromore. We saw the alter but it is not confirmed. I can't find any other info on him though. He came to New Brunswick in 1821 but can't find a ship. I think Elinor, his wife's family came from Enniskillan but not sure. I think she was born in Canada. They were married in Canada. They were a mixed marriage. I think Peter had a brother John. That is about all I know. I appreciate any help!
