    3. Ron Perhaps you could order a copy of the death Entry from the General Registry Rosscommon as he died before 1922 when the Border was set up and it is cheaper then ordering from GRONI in Belfast. The entry gives the 1st Quarter of 1893, in Downpatrick aged 81 years. Quote the Volume No 1 and Page number 414. That might give you who registered the death. Name: Mathew Shaw Event Type: Death Event Date: Jan - Mar 1893 Event Place: Downpatrick, Ireland Registration Quarter and Year: Jan - Mar 1893 Registration District: Downpatrick Age: 81 Birth Year (Estimated): 1812 Volume Number: 1 Page Number: 414 Otherwise search in person through the Local Paper for an Obituary and the PRONI Wills for a Will. Or see if familysearch has a registered birth fro him c1812 + or - 2 years. You can use that information to order a copy of the birth certificate from the General Register Office for Ireland which will give you the full information that was recorded for official purposes at the time. < https://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Apply-for-Certificates.aspx > David Armstrong Western Australia From: Ron Law via Sent: Thursday, June 11, 2015 8:31 AM To: Dave H ; fermanagh-gold@rootsweb.com Subject: FERMANAGH-GOLD Mathew Shaw Is there any way of finding out where this person was born? https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:FTC1-TY6 Ron --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus

    3. The others were all in England by 1861 or sooner and Pension started 1908. If they applied when age 70 then the Census Search would be done using 1841 Census details, these Census were later destroyed! Because mine weren't in Ireland for 41 or 51 Census I got the 1821 Census for one lot! The ones for NI are SUPPOSED to be in PRONI BUT that is not the case!! 1000's are still in Dublin and on line on same site as Census. It doesn't matter which Durham as people in Canada applied too.. and all over the world. Berly Eustace's books are the best way to get them all.. even the ones for Kerry that are at PRONI. Only by church records.... http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/Irish-civil-registration.html http://www.irish-genealogy-toolkit.com/irish-roots.html or if someone has photographed a g/stone, and that depends on the county. A lot of people visit g/yards all over Ireland but couldn't be bothered taking a few photos that might help someone else.. Many can't visit Ireland and rely on others. 3. A lot of Presby churches didn't keep death records so often it is a matter of trying to find gravestones. The likes of IGP has some donated from people visiting graveyards and often these might be the only "records" that exist so maybe someone has taken a few at whatever graveyard you need. Fermanagh has done reasonable well with a few people donating photos you can see them here http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/fermanagh/photos/tombstones/markers.htm all it needs is for a few others to contribute when at any Cemetery. other stuff here.. http://www.igp-web.com/IGPArchives/ire/fermanagh/index.htm Also, try the Fermanagh Gold website itself where others volunteered to transcribe records, there might be Presby ones there.
