Before 1864 for RCs you would have to check in the local parish. Gresham's book, Tracing Your Irish Ancestors, has a list of RC parishes and Magheracross is not the name of one. It must be part of a parish of another name. If you tell me what it is near, I'll try to figure it out for you. Janet C-S
