My gr. gr gr grandmother, Ann Gallagher, was born at Enniskillen, Co. Fermanagh in 1776. She was the daughter of Peter GALLAGHER and his wife, Catherine CALHOUN who were from Co. Donegal. Ann Gallagher married James McDONAGH who was born 1774 at Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal but later in life moved to one mile outside of Irvinestown (Lowtherstown) in Co. Fermanagh where his landlord was a William D'Arcy. There were 8 children of the marriage of Ann Gallagher and James McDonagh : 1) Mary McDonough born 1795 in Co. Tyrone married James GILLOUGHLY and they came to Canada with small children in 1841. 2) Catherine McDonough born in 1799 in Co. Tyrone married John WALKER and the family emigrated to Canada in 1831. 3) Ann McDonough born Irvinestown Fermanagh Co. did not marry and came to Canada with her widowed mother in 1841. 4) Isabella McDonough born 1801 in Fermanagh married Patrick HOEY and emigrated to Canada in 1830. 5) John McDonough did not marry. Came to Canada in 1831 and died in Lindsay, Ontario. 6) Patrick McDonough did not marry and came to Canada in 1829. 7) James McDonough born Fermanagh came to Canada with his mother in 1841, did not marry. 8) Peter McDonough of Irvinestown married Sarah McLAUGHLIN.
