My husband's great-grandmother, ROSEANN(A) MCDERMOTT, came to the USA from Enniskillen, County of Fermanaugh, at the age of 16, c. 1847-1854. She visited with an aunt in New York City, and then journeyed to Jefferson Twnship, Greene Co., Pa., and stayed with two uncles and their family - MICHAEL MCGOVERN and THOMAS DRUM, prior to marrying HENDERSON WISE from Washington Co., Pa. in 1859. That's all we know about her. Have no idea if she came with family or by herself. The information we do have from an old family journal (written by another family member) was that she was at sea 7 weeks.
