Might the dates for your Simon Christopher Loane be 1883 (not 1833)-1940 (this is per Burke's Irish Family Records) . I looked up my info and found that Simon Christopher Loane's brother, Andrew (whom I remember), was my great-grandfather. He emigrated with his wife (Annie Hanna) and son (Bob) to Montreal Canada in 1920 (or so). I have two sources of info on the Loane ancestors of Simon and Andrew, but unfortunately, both are 'secondary sources'. First, I have the compiled genealogy from Burke's Irish Family Records. Secondly, I have a hand-written genealogy passed to me by a cousin in Ireland. The latter is credited to a specific person, but one that I believe has passed away. It is identical to the Burke's data, except that it actually has a little more info (i.e. dates and a second, not-entirely connected Loane line). I would love to compare data. All my specifics are as follows: Gregg Loane 205 Patricia Avenue North York, Ontario Canada M2M 1J7 Please drop me another e-mail and we'll discuss. This is pretty exciting, as I have NO distant cousins to correspond with regarding my Loane line. Glad I subscribed to this list! Thanks! Gregg
