Hello Hugh I do not see a parish named Curan or any variation in Fermanagh. There is a Curryann Townland in the Division known as Belle Isle (OS map 28). One list I have has this in Aghalurcher Parish, but there is a Belle Isle in Cleenish parish as well, just on the border of Aghalurcher from what I can tell. The Drumharriff & Clay townlands of my Montgomery families are nearby. Hope this helps Suzanne Message text written by INTERNET:FERMANAGH-L@rootsweb.com >G'day, James KELLY my gt-gt grandfather was born C1828 in the Parish of Curan, Fer. Son of James KELLY and Winnifred DENNOVY. (Source: daughter Jane's 1855 Scottish birth certificate.) Have I got the right place or should the Parish be CURRIN. I know it will be hard with the name Kelly but can anyone shed some light on the DENNOVY name.
