My great grandfather James Irving Armstrong lived in Birkenhead. He died on board the Thetis Submarine in 1939. I cannot obtain a death certificate (none were issued!) or marriage certificate, as I do not know where he was married. I do not know his parents names, but believe they were from the Fermanagh area, and that possibly he was born there circa 1900. I know it's not much to go on, but I'm stuck.
