Susan GRAY (dau of Samuel GRAY born c1839) married Mark MORTON (son of George MORTON and Mary BIRD born 6 January 1830) on 19 August 1863 at Newtown Butler, Co. Fermanagh, Parish of Galloon. Their daughter (my greatgrandmother) was born c March 1864 Virginia, Co. Cavan and the family migrated to Queensland, Australia when she was six months old. They arrived in Brisbane in September 1864. Mark worked as a lengthsman with the railway on arrival. Samuel Gray obviously had a strong influence on his daughter Susan, as for six generations the eldest son's birth has been registered with Gray as his second given name.
