It seemed logical to me that you have an interest in the MAGUIRE/MCGUIRE family so I thought I would write and ask if you can see any relationship with our MCGUIRE mob. The 2g grand-parents of my wife came to Australia in 1853. The father was Patrick with parents Thomas and Ann (Nancy) ARMSTRONG varcoe and both had died before 1853. The mother was Ann (e) MCCORMACK, parents Owen and Susan SMITH. Owen was alive in 1853. They came with five children: Susan b1830, Andrew b1833, Thomas b1836, Anne b1839 and Rose b1842. We found out later that Patrick and Ann had left four children who had died back in Ireland. Do you see any connection? Regards. John.
