This is my first posting to this list, hope I've formulated it correctly. Is anyone researching or has anyone come across the families of William ELLIOT, born c 1838 [father Archibald, a farmer] or Mary INGRAM, born c1839 [father David, a butcher] who were married in Lowtherstown, Parish of Derryvullen on the 9th November 1857. I think Williams mother was a Mary JOHNSON and Mary's mother was Christina McKnight from an entry in the IGI for Ireland but no other information was contained in the IGI.
