Dear Members of the Fermanagh List: Only yesterday I discovered that you exist and subscribed to your list. My wife and I were in Ireland in June of last year and had the opportunity to spend several days in Ballyshannon from which we managed to drive all over Co. Fermanagh and the nearby parts of Cos. Donegal and Tyrone. My wife's great-grandmother was a Muldoon from Fermanagh and I am descended from the Anglo-Irish Brandon family, which to the best of my knowledge and research arrived there sometime in the early 1700's. My immigrant ancestor was one William Brandon, born, we believe, Magheraculmoney parish, near Kesh, in 1780. His parents were Gerard Brandon and Mary Brien. William left Ireland, with many other members of his family, in 1804 and settled in Huntington Mills, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. I have quite a bit of information on this family which I would more than happy to share should anyone be interested. And, I am always looking for other Brandon records or connections. I recently acquired the CD-ROM Index to Griffith's Evaluation, which as I recall was taken in Fermanagh in 1862, and would be more than happy to do look-ups for specific surnames should anyone be interested. Regards, Rich
