Seeking information about John BRUCE, born County of Fermanagh in 1799. John was married to Jane ? , born in County Donegal June 22, 1820. Both died in the town of Goderich, County Huron, Province of Ontario, Canada. John died November 14, 1882, age 83 years, 6 months. Jane died July 31, 1888. The names of their children are not known, however, it is likely that one son is D.A. Bruce. John and Jane's grandson, John Bruce was born in about 1861 in County Durham, Province of Ontario, Canada and died in Ottawa, Ontario January 17, 1906. A search of the Griffith's Valuation CD shows the name BRUCE in the town of Belleek, Co. Fermanagh. Given its proximity to Co. Donegal birthplace of John's wife Jane, I wondered about the possibility Belleek being the birthplace of John BRUCE. Any information or assistance regarding BRUCE families in Co.
