Hello, This is my first post to the list. I am researching my pateranl familly tree, the surname being GLENN. My great grandfather, Thomas Glenn, emigrated from Co. Fermanagh, Ireland in the 1840's (??) and settled in Hibbert Twsp, Perth County, Ontario, Canada. Thomas married Isabella Roney, reportedly from Co. Leitrim, in 1859. The marriage record indicates that Thomas' parents were William and Christina Glenn, and I cannot find them in Canada. Another Glenn family lived on the adjacent farmland. John Glenn and his wife Jane Stewart. A regional history book states that John and Jane were born abt. 1810 in the "town of Wicklow, County Fermanagh, Belleek Parish." They came to Canada in 1840 with three children, Ann, Margaret, and William. I have looked on the web sites for Ireland and cannot find a "town of Wicklow" in Fermanagh. Is there a feasable alternative? Any GLENN connections would be appreciated. Best regards, Penny E Parker a-mail: pparker@compusmart.ab.ca
