Hi! I'm new to the net and this digest. I am seeking any information about Armstrong's and Blarkely's from Enniskellen, or the surrounding area. My ggg grandfather, William Armstrong was born about 1775-1785 in Fermanaugh. He married Catherine Blakely by license. The marriage was solomized at Irvinestown, in the parish of Derryvollen, April 17, 1819. Their son, my great grand father, William Armstrong was born about 1829 at Enniskellen. Members of the family, at least sons Thomas and William and their mother Catherine, emigrated to Ashfield, NSW, Australia about 1855. There is a headstone erected to the memory of Catherine [Blakely] Armstrong, in Waverly Cemetary. Catherine's husband William presumably died in Ireland. William Armstrong, b. abt. 1829 married Caroline Carr in 1868. and died 1882, Ashfield, NSW, Australia. Any help anyone can give me will be very gratefully received.
