The Roman Catholic Parish containing Ederney is now known as Culmaine a short version of the original Magherculmoney but in my younger days was always referred to as Black Bog. The original Black Bog Church, about a half a mile from the village is now a coal store with the new Ederney Chapel in the village. The local Parish Priest is Fr.
