I have learned the hard way not to assume that I am on the right track. I was absolutely convinced that I had my grandfathers line, especially as I had a birth certificate. It was only a few days ago when I eventually after three months received his marriage certificate from Dublin that I realised my mistake. There were two Beggans with the same christian name born in the same year. I had merrily gone along putting together all his siblings, their offspring and the supposed great grandparents and their offspring. I suppose the only good thing is that I now have a huge collection of Beggans and I am sure they will all come together somewhere back in the 17th Century. Maureen
