Surf on over to: http://www.groni.gov.uk/index.htm ...and throw your money around as freely as if you were still in jolly old England, hehe. I believe you can place orders for certificates online, but I doubt the indices themselves are available online. Alternatively, the LDS does have microfilms of the indices. Root around the LDS's www.familysearch.org site, in particular the catalogue. For instance, you'll find these microfilm notes for the all-Ireland BMD indices through 1922, after which there are separate sets for Eire and Northern Ireland to 1959: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?dis play=titledetails&titleno=464410&disp=General_index_of_births,_marriages_and _d&columns=*,180,0 ...and a whole lot more information on civil registration (and other topics), by choosing "Place Search" and keying in "Ireland" or even more specific placenames. Hope this helps. ;-) Alison
