In the Tithe Appoltment Book for the Parish of Clones you will find pages for "Parish of Clones, Diocese of Clogher, County of Fermanagh, Manor of Shanock". The townland Anaghul (or Anagheel) appears on these pages. Using the Householder's Index I expected the entries found for Anaghul to be in County Monaghan, Barony of Dartree. Such a townland does not appear in the IreAtlas Townland Database for either Monaghan or Fermanagh. I suspect that townlands for the Manor of Shanock are indexed as County Monaghan in the Householder's Index but in reality are found within County Fermanagh. Can anyone shed light on this?
