I am trying to find the location of Carrick and Dromore on my #17 Ordnance Survey Map of Fermanagh and have only found Carrick House and Dromore Hill between Derrygonnelly and Largalinny. Does anyone know if these two landmarks indicate the whereabouts of these towns? Also, has anyone on the list ever accessed the Ely Papers that deal with the Loftus/Hume/Tottenham families' estates, especially Ely Lodge. Largalinny is listed as one of the townlands in the estate - I wonder if tenants are listed. Was there a militia composed of tenants organised by the estate (especially in the late 1700s to mid 1800s)? I look forward to new insights!
