Despite burning Lisnarick in the 1641 rebellion Mc Caffreys were numerous in the area for centuries afterwards and they have many headstones in Lisnarick Old Graveyard, Barony of Lurg. In the townland of Clonelly, in the Barony of Lurg near Pettigo there is an area known as Mc Caffrey's Rock which may have been an assembley point/meeting place/place of investiture.
