For anyone who may be interested in this letter, the intersection, 43rd and 2nd mentioned may be part of NYC but in the borough of Brooklyn. There were many from Ireland who settled in this area. My own relatives were from the area of 39th and 4th in Brooklyn so be careful if you go looking into NYC records. Just a helpful (hopefully) hint. Janet
