Hi Marion, Have you checked out the Fermanagh Gold site? http://www.fermanagh.org.uk/goldhome.htm There are a lot of Elliots in the index for the genealogy section. Elliot is a VERY common name in Fermanagh. According to the Fermanagh Story, even at the time of the Plantation they were numerous. With the date of the marriage, I think your best bet is to check C of I churches in Dublin for the marriage record. This may give you parents' names or place of residence in Fermanagh. In checking lists of voters registered in 1839 (listed in the Enniskillen newspaper) , I see a James Elliot, Gentleman, residing at "Crincrannell" holdng lands in Loughgarr, Tattanacunnen, and Coorlahaloon. (Spelling is notoriously inaccurate in these lists!--could it be your Coolcran?) Another Michael Elliot, Gentleman. lived n the same parish (Clones). Hope this helps! Janet C-S
