    1. [FERMANAGH] Fermanagh Parishes and county lines
    2. Bud Flanagan
    3. Have just accessed a list of Fermanagh parishes that crossed county lines adjacent to co Fermanagh. Am filling in the blanks in my master index of Fermanagh place names , last count was 5,570 individual townlands, places, islands, graveyards, bridges, ruins, stone forts, etc. Give me a week before you start asking for look ups, which I will graciously do. Do not respond to the Fermanagh site. It will glog up the archives. Submit requests to me; Liam@cox.net Thanks Bud Flanagan, in Arizona

    2. James Irvine
    3. Can someone please tell me how to find the data that used to be at http://www.fermanagh.org.uk/genealogy/gencontents.htm please? It now gives a holding page. Maybe it's just a temporary technical hiccup, or the site has a new address, the webmaster need to renew a fee, or is it something more fundamental? James Irvine.

    1. [FERMANAGH] PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP FIND MY GREAT UNCLE WILLIAM ABBOTT
    2. pneanne
    3. Three years ago I was on the List and had some wonderful help from Gerry Rice. He found my grandmother's brother Peter Abbott who was born on the 18th April 1872 at Newbridge, Co. Kildare. He also found my grandmother's sister Elizabeth Abbott born on the 13.1.1874 at the Lying in Hospital, Belfast and I was able to send off for their birth certificates. Their parents were Peter Abbott, born Lancashire, who was in the Army and his wife Isabella nee Rutherford. I wonder if anyone can help to find another brother William Abbott, who according to the 1881 Census in Preston, Lancashire was born in Fermanagh about 1871, to the same parents. When Gerry helped me, we were not sure if the sons William and Peter were the same person, but I have found that Peter Jnr. died aged 9 in Preston just before the 1881 Census and William was on the 1881 Census, so they are two different people. Kind regards, Anne in Bolton, Lancashire.

    3. Hi Bud This is appalling treatment of a person who has done so much to help other genealogists! Have you considered appealing this decision? Surely advertising material for sale infers that the advertiser would profit from the advertisement. This is clearly not the case. 3. Yes, I too think it's unfair. I would want to others to know where to find something that might help them. It's all quite simple and obvious. Liam should not have been unsubscribed. 3. Bud, I've read and re-read your original post and cannot think for the life of me why you were taken off their lists in the first place. I'm glad you have been re-instated and it would have been their loss if you weren't. This is why I love this mailing list, so many sharers of information. Can't think why others would object to that.
