I wanted to warn my fellow genealogists on my lists--there is a brand new set of virus/worms that tell you to open an attachment, saying something like: "look at the pictures from my amazing party" etc DO NOT OPEN ANYTHING like this, even from an address you know---there is NO FIX for it yet! If you open it, it will send out the same virus/worm to all your address book, from your address, and they will then be infected if they open "your pictures" This just started yesterday, and is already nearly out of control--there is no fix for it yet, but you can quarantine it.. If you get something like this from someone you know, pleas write to ask them if they sent you pictures, or else it is probably the worm, and they don't know they have it...Debra Short

I slipped a fiver in the Sunday plate in St Patrick's in Derrygonnelly, then went to the rectory to ask for assistance. It worked, He even let me read the book on burials and marriages. The Heritage center in Omagh has a lot of books not even cataloged yet. The walls of one entire room was full to the ceiling. I even offered to stay there , if they found me a place to sleep, and I would do it for nothing, just the joy of doing it.
I have a Patrick Flanagan from Fermanagh, buried in the Enniskillen area in the Convent graveyard on the East end up town, up on the north hill. His brother was my G G Grandfather, William Gallagher Flanagan. Have more info.
Great!! Thanks Jim - he was no relation, although I know the song well!!! Maureen I did a quick search on Google and seems like Glenoo is near Fivemiletown? A question for our members living in Fermanagh: I was given a 2002 souvenir calendar "to celebrate the Dedication of Ardess Parish Centre" from St. Mary's Parish Church. It has a dozen black and white drawings of various scenes around Kesh, Irvinestown and Enniskillen. All very nice -- but there's no hint of who drew them. Can any of you identify the artist? Linda
Can anyone tell me where the above townland is. I cannot find it on a map and Seanruad shows GLENOORY but in Donegal and I think it is in Fermanagh or Tyrone. Maureen

Hi Marge, There is a townland (not a town) called Drumkeen in the parish of Rossorry just south of Enniskillen. If you think that's the one that might be of interest to you, I can send you a map of the Rossorry townlands as an attachment. Incidentally, there's an old joke that says that for half the year Lough Erne is in County Fermanagh, and for the other half, County Fermanagh is in Lough Erne. Take a good look at any detailed topo. map of the area and you'll sympathise! Crawford.
