    3. Could you please look-up Ezekiel & Christiana (JOHNSTON) EVANS from the parish of Magheraculmoney? Ezekiel was born about 1807, Christiana about 1811, & they were married about 1830. If not, I would be interested in anything you can find in the Book of Fermanagh about EVANS in general....the JOHNSTON info was very interesting. 3. Hi Maureen Sorry I forgot to tell you that James ROONEY had a brother John ROONEY (born 1809) married Catherine CUNNINGHAM (born 1829) Their son Francis (1848) and Mary (1849) were born in the county of Fermanagh also. John migrated to America in August 1849. McMAHON: I am not sure if this is Fermanagh or Monaghan. Michael McMAHON (born ca 1828) and brother John (born ca 1820) came to America. Believe the father to be Phillip. CORR: John CORR married Mary MURPHY. Two of their children are Catherine CORR (1821) who married Michael McMAHON (just mentioned) in 1852 in Benton, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, USA. Next child is Phillip CORR (1830) who married Catherine McCABE (1834) 9 May 1853 Galena, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, USA. A third child may be Patrick CORR (1820) who married Bridget COMISKY (1820). (Patrick has not been proven to be a child of John & Mary (Murphy) Corr at this time.) Thank you again. 3. James Rooney (birth date ca 1810) married Margaret Mulligan born 1817. (Guess I should have asked about Mulligan too). I do not have a place but have pinpointed the Rosslea area from a song my grandmother (102 yrs of age when died) said her grandfather sang to her when young. James Rooney was her grandfather. There were 11 children. A daughter Ann Rooney (born ca 1835) married Patrick Beggan. I do not have very much information on them. The children born in Ireland before coming in America in 1855 (have the passenger list) were: Ann (just mentioned), Mary (ca 1839), Isabella (1842), Amy (ca 1846), Francis (1847), Margaret (ca 1849), Bridget (ca 1851).Jane (1855 born at sea), James (1857), Daniel (1863), Sara Ellen (1867) From baptism records here in Wisconsin the Lynch family is associated with the Rooneys. You asked if I am looking for ancestors with these name or just origins. I am interested in both. Thank you for your time. I appreciate this very much. 1. [FERMANAGH] Tom Hare's Jewellery Store, Enniskillen
    2. tracy thompson
    3. Hello to the List, I have just received a tape from a "new found cousin" and want to confirm some information. In this tape he mentions that a Miss ROBINSON, owned and operated a jewellery store called "Tom Hare's Jewellery in Enniskillen County Fermanagh." When my cousin visited the store in 1983, he was told that the owner had passed away 5 years earlier, he didn't ask for any other information. What I am looking for is an obit for this lady, I am not sure of her first name but I do know her last name was Robinson and she never married. I was hoping that someone out there lives near the store and could contact me. Any suggestions or ideas on how to get this obit or any articles on the store or it's owner would be wonderful. Thanks in advance, Tracy in Toronto Canada _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx

    2. C. Foster
    3. Hello Bonnie, I did request a lookup on the Mail List, addressed to anyone, to date I have not seen a reply. This could be the fault of my ISP not sending all emails, but just in case would you please lookup two names for me. JOHNSTON(E) and DONALDSON. I realise that Johnston, being such a common name, could be rather large to copy, the area I am looking at is mainly west Fermanagh around Inishmacsaint. Thank you very much, Carole in Oz. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bonnie Henderson" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, February 08, 2002 1:05 PM Subject: [FERMANAGH] Still need lookups in The Fermanagh Story? 2. Bonnie Henderson
    3. Hi Folks, I will be sending the results privately to each request now but rest assured I will be working on them tonight and tomorrow so all will hear from me shortly in the order they were received. It sounded like such a great idea to let everyone view them but I have had a sneaking thought that possibly this is not a good idea, copyright protection and so on. Happy hunting everyone. Bonnie

    1. [FERMANAGH] AGHADRUMSEE
    2. Merryl, I didn't realize that there were that many people in the Aghdrumsee area of Fermanagh, Sorry only joking but it is a very small area. It now comes 'under the union of Lisnaskea.' There is a Cof I church just off the Lisnaskea road and it has quite a small graveyard, there is an Orange Order Hall directly opposite. There are quite a few headstones but the main names are Johnson and strangely enough I seem to remember a MOFFAT, only because I have a friend of that name and I thought it strange. There are also a few Halls but I cannot remember the rest. It did come under Clones Parish and old records would be in Dublin. The Catholic Church is at Drumswords which is on the old Clones road at least I call it that. Enniskillen Town will hold marriages for the area and can be very helpful IThere is another subscriber to the site who has a more up to darte knowledge of the area than I have so over to you, Bill. 2. Georgia Garnsey
    3. William, I, too, hate to burden you with another request from your wonderful book. If you ever have time to look up any reference to the Leith family in Fermanagh I would be greatly indebted. If you don't have time (or energy), I certainly understand. I wish I had a source that could benefit so many on the list. You have inspiored me to keep looking - Georgia Garnsey

    1. Re: [FERMANAGH] TEEVAN look up
    2. Hi Bonnie: Like the previous person, I hate to bother you when I know you are so swamped with requests. I had a lot of ancestors who came from what the Aghadrumsee area in Fermanagh, which was once Clones Parish and perhaps still is. It's the Aghadrumsee area of Fermanagh. You have already covered some of the names including Johnston, McVitty, Howe, Adams, Wilson etc. Could I still ask about BLAKELY, WELSH and BOWES? I suppose the latter is English? And there is MOFFITT, too, which I have assumed was from Scotland. Thanks so much for all the information you have given, and if you have time to do these extra ones, thanks so much for that, also. .....Merriel

    1. [FERMANAGH] TEEVAN look up
    2. Hi Bonnie I was holding off, so you wouldn't be swamped. PATRICK TEEVAN married MARGARET MCGENA They had JAMES born March 1835 who married ELIZABETH MCKEON ( or any variation of the name, McKuen) in 1860. Elizabeth's parents were Constantine McKeon and Elizabeth McManus. I'm most interested in the Teevan's, but I gave you all the names to make a connection. I have a picture of a "TEEVAN" House located at Fawney, southeast of Lisnaskea. It was built by a Mr. William Dundass and bears the date 1731 over the door. I haven't been able to make a connection yet. Thanks Verna
