Elizabeth Vance married Joseph Jackson. They had a son, Andrew who married Elizabeth Hutchinson, and were parents of President Andrew Jackson. Is anyone working on these Jackson, Vance families? I would like the names of the other children of Joseph and Elizabeth Vance. Can anyone help me? Henrietta Jackson is putative coousin of Pres. Andrew Jackson. Thus her father would be brother to Andrew Jackson, Sr. I would like her parents names. She is my ancestor. fewilson@aol.com
Hi, Just signed on to this list, always thought the Robert Stewart I have been TRYING to find was from Ballyshannon Co. Donegal, but in the Drumholm Parish Church of Ireland records his wife Margaret Green was from that parish,he lists Innismsaint Parish this was 1835. Does anyone have any information on this Robert Stewart, his father was also a Robert Stewart and married someone with the last name of Patterson. Also if anyone could tell me anything about this parish. On his boat manifest he list himself as a merchant in Ballyshannon that was 1839. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. My wifes gr-gr-grandfather was Robert GOODFELLOW, born in 1815 in Fermanagh county. We know that at some point he married a Margaret GIBSON (b. 1825 somewhere in the world) and we know that he died in Ontario, Canada. We also have most of his descendants. What we don't know is anything about his family in Fermanagh county. Who were his parents? Where in Fermanagh county did he live? Who were his siblings? When did he go to Canada? Does anyone know of a census of that time period? Where are the best places for me to look for additional information? Any information at all would be appreciated. Thank you.
I think my grgrgrandfather Michael Carrigan was born in Fermanagh in 1825 and married Bridgette Gilligan in 1848 she was born in1830 Can any one check records for this time period?
Hello- This is my first time on this List. Hope I am doing this right. I need someone to volunteer to look up a Jane Armstrong in County Fermanagh. I have all the Griffith's Valuation Jane Armstrongs between 1848 and 1864 but not the records themselves so I can't see birth dates. Jane was born in 1830 in, I think, either Fermanagh or Antrim, but I don't know which one. There is a possibility she was born in Meath but since there are so few Armstrongs there I doubt this. I would be happy to help anyone work on USA records if I am able to. Kind regards, Tim Walls (Louisville, KY)

Hello listers, This is my first posting to this group. My ggg grandparents were Andrew MOORE and Sarah GIBSON. They lived in or near Enniskillen, Co. Fermanaugh and emigrated in 1830 to Canada. Would anyone out there have their marriage record (Church of Ireland (Anglican)) ca 1814? Or would anyone have extracts from the Tithe Applotments on either MOOREs or GIBSONs in this area? Could someone please help me with my Jacksons in Fermanagh? Is there a genealogy society there? What is its address? Are there other souces I might use to find out where my Jacksons lived? I don't know where to start looking! Are there county histories? Tombstone records in a book? Genealogy sections at the library there? Old Church records for Episcopalians?
