I am researching the surname "Lunny" in County Fermanagh prior to 1850. My ancestor came from the townland of Drumhose in the parish of Galoon (northwest part) around that time with marriages and births in the 1825 area. It appears that there is little chance of marriage or birth records at that time but I was wondering if there are cemetary records, or other sources in Fermanagh. I got a copy of the Ordnance Survey Memoirs for the period approx 1835 which is an interesting account of that time period, and I had heard that there is a book called "county sources- fermanagh" but I have been unable to find it. I was wondering what info it had. Also, if someone had visited the area between Lisnaskea and Newtownbutler (where Drumhose is located) I'd be interested in what places there are to visit for genealogical work. Any and all replies would be appreciated. Thanks Ted
Hi, Hate to post this this way, but if the Doug that was looking for Dundas in Innishmacsaint Parish would please e-mail me I would appreciate it. A couple of weeks ago I copied the records of Innishmacsaint while at the LDS and I see some Dundas in there but the time period is about 1800-1811, if you think that I could be of help please e-mail me. Thanks Barbara Stewart Price

As a new subscriber I thought I would note my Co Fermanagh interests. I am looking for Fletcher at Drumadravey Townland near Irvinestown. This branch goes back to the 1700's. There is a branch in the 1870's+ at Bigwood on the north shore of Lower Loch Erne. There is an unrelated branch at Carrigoolah near Belleek on the south shore of Lower Loch Erne and this branch may also have links with Co Leitrim Fletcher's. I am also looking for Ferguson and Dundas in Inishmacsaint Parish (possibly Devenish parish) and Creighton and Irwin in Templecarn and Belleek Parishes. All in the early 1800's. Some collateral lines of interest are Maxwell, Bruce, Brandon, Mills, Haslam, Ovens and Graham. All in the western Lower Loch Erne area. I have the 1901 census index for Co Fermanagh on microfiche and would be pleased to do lookups. As well, I have been to Ireland twice and can help if you are planning your own research trip. Am searching for someone who lives in county Fermanagh to find out the current living conditions. I am planning to live there for one year to search out my relatives and pay my respects to my ancestors. It seems that all the listings on the web are for rental cottages for a week or a month at a time at a financial rate that is excessive for what they have to offer. Have checked B&B but they too far from the area I must go into. On my last trip, it cost $800.00 to rent a car for two weeks so location of living quarters is my top priority. Am taking a laptop and visiting the Heritage centers in Tyrone/Fermanagh and also county Donegal. Any replies will gratfully be appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Bud Flanagan
