My Fergus line that I know about is as follows. William Fergus born @1746 died April 3, 1819 in Madison County, Georgia. He served several terms in the South Carolina General Assembly. He married Margaret Armstrong. I have no information about her. They had four daughters and one son to reach adulthood, however, the son never married and died of wounds received in the War of 1812. Two daughters married Groves brothers, one married Anthony Story and the other married Cicero Kennedy. There is evidence that William was born in PA and his parents were John and Martha Fergus. There is also evidence of two brothers, James and John, both of whom were born in PA and were younger. If anyone has any more information on this family, please email me.
