Hello Grace and Doug, There are few FERGUS people to trace in Ireland! But, I do have a Samuel FERGUS, Co Armagh, Drumcree Tavanagh, listed for the town of Portadown, Bridge Street (address) listed in the Griffith's Valuation ANd also listed is David FERGUS, Co Armagh, Crumcree, Corcrain, Town of Portadown, Bridge Street. The Girrifth's Valuation is dated 1848-1864. It was begun in the south of Ireland and progressed to the north, so that Co Armagh was probably listed in the 1860's. There is a Samuel FERGUS listed in the Griffith's Valuation from Co Tyrone - that would be about 45 miles away from Co Armagh. The previous listing I think would be more likely.
