Hello Everyone, I have been watching the Fergus pages with interest, so far nothing has tied in so here are some more to think about. We have a William FERGUS born C1836 in County Armagh, Ireland. He married Amelia Muirhead or Moorhead in Portadown, County Armagh in 1858. In 1864 he arrived on the "Golden City" in Auckland NZ. His father was Samuel or Emanuel FERGUS probably from County Armagh and was a Hotel Keeper. Does this sound familiar to anyone? He was probably born early 1800's. Our William was a Tailor. We have also found a David Fergus in the same time frame in Auckland who was also a tailor, we don't know where he belongs or if he is William's brother. I hope this can help some-one, or us maybe!
