For those of you who are Orvis fans I would call your attention to their Fall 1998 "The Sporting Tradition" catalog. Jim is a sportsman and an excellent writer. He has authored many articles as a correspondent of "Outside" magazine, a contributing editor of "Sports Afield", a writer of "A Hunter's Road: A Journey with Gun and Dog across the American Uplands" and a novelist of "One Thousand White Women". In the spring a collection of his sporting essays and stories, "The Sporting Road" will be published. His books are featured in the catalogue.
