In re Irish Fays: my gr-gr-grandfather Patrick Fay, born 8 March 1811, Co Antrim, Ireland. Married Ann(e) Kelly (b. 8 Nov 1816, Co Galway Ireland) in 1835. He emigrated to US 1840 to work on NYC aqueduct and Erie Canal. Ann followed in 1841. They had 10 children. Can find nothing of their parents. Ann had one sister (that we know of) Margaret Monahan, who came to US in 1845. They all lived most of their lives in Allegany Co, NY and died there. Children who lived to adulthood are: Margaret, 1840-1869, m. Charles Warner (I'm descended from this line) Katherine, 1842-1926, m. Abijah Wellman William Patrick, 1844-1872, m. Meriam Philliips Erzelia, 1846-1886, m. John Holcomb Charles Kelly, 1847-1921, m. Lois Saunders John, 1850-1944, m. Harriet Strayer Ann, 1851-? Emma Isabelle, 1854-? Ellen Electa, 1857-1948, m. (1)Frank Sherwood, (2)??Stamm Have made contact with a number of cousins, but NOBODY knows of parents or other sibs of Patrick and Ann Kelly Fay. Can anyone on the Fay letter help?
