I am currently trying to locate anyone who may have connections to FAYS in northeast, Ohio. Particularly Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula Counties, the city of Cleveland and Newburgh Township. My Great-grandfather Peter VACIK married a Mrs. Magdalena FAY on 27 Feb 1893 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. She was his second wife. Magdalena FAY was born Magdalena KOHOUT in Bohemia on 15 June 1849. Her father was John (Johan) KOHOUT from Bohemia. Apparently she was married once before, to a man with the surname of FAY. I have not located any information on her first husband as of yet. I do know that she had a son or brother-in law whose name was John FAY. He was listed on her death certificate as informant. Magdalena (KOHOUT) FAY immigrated to the USA around 1891 as per the 1910 census for Newburgh Township in Cuyahoga County, Ohio. She died in Cuyahoga County, Ohio on 12 January, 1918. She was buried at Harvard Grove Cemetery on Lansing Avenue in Cleveland, OH. on January 15, 1918. This is the only information I have on her to date.
