Morning Mary! It hasn't been that long, has it? The email leads me to believe either all my previous posting were forgotten, or they were lost.<G> I imagine you probably get a lot of emails about various family lines. Just the same, I can answer the question, with a little cut and paste from an email I received. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mary F. Hoffman's Edgar B. Fay 6 is OPF # 95-3-2 on page 183. > To which Asa Fay is Ginger related ? CUT AND PASTE Your E Mail caught me by surprise. I was beginning to wonder if anything would ever come of this. Having recently moved, my records are still packed. This is just the incentive I needed to get them out and begin to do more research. Since your wife is of the Jeremiah line, I suppose that you have been in contact with Ruth Fay - still in Parma? Asa and Florella's daughter Roxanna married Newell Roberts, son of Alamanza Roberts and Maryann Blakeslee. Roxanna and Newell had a son Luther, who was my great grandfather. At one time, I found reference that Asa took the Oregon Trail and returned but have been unable to trace this fact further. Possibly it was his son, also an Asa. Will write with more detail this weekend - it will be a long one for me and so I should be able to get out my records. Wanted to thank you for your response and try to keep this line open and active. I can see that we have much information to share. I am now in Ohio and close to Parma. Have pictures of all the headstones in the Parma cemetery if you are interested. Ginger END CUT AND PASTE As of right now, she has sent me a second email, but nothing further on the line. I am thinking she is still unpacking myself. As an aside in the Parma Heights Historical Cemetery in Cuyahoga County, Ohio where we found the FAY graves I've already sent pictures of to you, among others, there was also BRAINARD, HOFFMAN, ROBERTS, and HODGEMAN all buried there, among others. A lot of Parma's original settlers are there. > Benajah Fay Sr. 4 is [OPF # 95], pages 182-183 Only 4 of his children > show up in Orlin P. Fay's book: Benajah Fay Jr. 5 [OPF # 95-2]; Mabel (Fay) > Humphrey 5 [OPF # 95-2) and Jeremiah W. Fay 5 [OPF # 95-3] on pages > 182-183. Ruth Fay 5 [OPF # 95-4] is mentioned on page 205 I never did send anyone hard copies of the necessary pages from "The History of Parma" by Ernest Kubasek. My fault. I apologize. I believe Dick Miller was also expecting a hard copy, plus a few others. I'll need either the necessary snail mal address, or your email addy and I can send you a scanned copy of the pages in question. I did post to the list last month three or so pages that talked about Benejah FAY bringing his family to Parma, Ohio. To Mary: I already have your email addy, not sure about your snail mail addy? To Dick: You'll have to resend your snail mail addy. I think you wanted actual hard copies, but don't quote me on that. To whomever else: Same thing applies. <G> I'd prefer to send scanned copies just cuz it less time consuming for me. LMA Jim & Elicia SHREVE
