The following is republished from the FAHEY digest and is a pretty good example of the anglicization of Fahey into Fay. He was the youngest of several siblings who were living in Tenn. and migrated to Boston early WWI. Edward joined the army soon after arriving in the US [ca1897] and joined his siblings in Boston after his discharge from the U.S. Army [ca1920]. I know of a brother, Matt R. FAHEY who had a son, John M. FAHEY. There may have been another brother, John, and a sister, "Nellie". A sister, Margaret, remained in Ireland. I would love to be able to connect with the descendants of Edward's siblings.
