    3. Hi Holly: The Fays I am working on descend from John Fay of Southborough, MA (left Gravesend, England in 1656). I have their line firmly established through Wm. Richard Cutter's Genealogy of Western New York (1912). I am looking for descendants of Adrian Foote Fay (19 MAY 1840 - 28 DEC 1915), born Little Valley, Cattaraugus County, NY; died Bradford, McKean County, PA. His parents were Alcander Fay (1816-1903) and Electa Clements. Adrian married Sarah Flint in Great Valley, NY on 12 APR 1865. They had eight children. Adrian served in the Civil War with the 105th and 94th New York Infantry. He was with Duryee's Brigade which opened the fighting in the Cornfield at Antietam, took a bullet in the shoulder at Fredericksburg, was captured at Cold Harbor, and survived the Confederate POW camps at Andersonville and Florence. My main Fay interest is in his military career. Also looking for info on his brothers Montrose, Charles, Henry, Asa, and sister Fanny Fay Lougee. Many of the Fays are buried in Willoughby Cemetery, County Route 18, Town of Great Valley. This is off US Route 219, between Salamanca and Ellicottville, Cattaraugus County, NY. Thanks for your message, and happy searching, Phil
