Dear Jim, I think that your Lucius Fay in Norwalk, Huron County, OH (of Census 1820-1840) and Lusius Fay (Census of 1850) are the same as OPF's Lucius FAY 6 OPF # 976. This Lucius Fay was b. in Barnard Vt, Apr. 4, 2796 and d. in Norwalk, Ohio Aug. 18, 1859. He married Betsey Brownell , who was b. in 1795, and d. in 1879. They had 7 known children. [OPF, 1898: 42; 85] His brother was Dr. Lyman Fay , b. Barnard, Vt May 3, 1791 and d. Sept. 3, 1849. He married Caroline Kellog. in Townsend, Ohio on July 21, 1816. They lived in Milan, Ohio and had 10 children. I think that the first two entries for Lyman Fay (Census of 1820 and 1830) are for Dr. Lyman Fay 6 (OPF # 973) and the Lyman Fay of 1850 is for his son Lyman 7 (OPF # 973-3 who died in 1855.) Dr. Lyman Fay 6 (OPF # 973) had 10 children and his son Lyman Fay 7 (OPF # 973-3) had 2 daughters. I hope this helps in your research. Sincerely, Mary (FAY) Nelson 9
